Pingback

A pingback is a notification from a blog that it now has a link to your blog.  It is an automatic signal from one blog  to another blog.  By looking at a list of pingbacks to a blog you can get an idea of which blogs are linking to it. I wordpress, settings for pingbacks for individual items of content are controlled under the Discussion heading below the editing window for a post or a page.  To change pingback  settings for an entire blog, go to Settings and then click on Discussion.
